The Avcon Enclosures D-8 (46″ x 46″) is a dual-compartment outdoor shower enclosure with a dedicated changing area built for year-round outdoor use. The two-door design gives each compartment its own entry, allowing one person to shower while another changes in complete privacy. Well suited for pool houses, lakefront properties, and vacation rentals.
Fully enclosed on all four sides with 72″ wall panels, this model offers maximum privacy and wind protection. Built with 6 aluminum posts and 2 doors, this 4-sided enclosure provides ample room across both compartments. Each stall measures 46″ x 46″ at the base, providing a spacious 46-inch footprint that accommodates comfortable movement.
Construction and Materials
Every Avcon enclosure is engineered for durability in demanding outdoor environments. The structural framework uses thick-wall, powder-coated aluminum posts and headers that meet AAMA 2604 coating standards — the same specification used in commercial architectural applications. This finish resists chalking, fading, and corrosion from salt air, chlorine exposure, and UV radiation.
Wall panels are made from high-grade, UV-resistant reinforced vinyl that will not rot, warp, or require painting. All hardware uses stainless steel fasteners to prevent rust and maintain structural integrity season after season.
Installation
The Avcon D-8 uses a modular panel system that simplifies assembly without specialized tools. The enclosure can be installed on a variety of surfaces:
- Directly onto a wood or composite deck using the included mounting hardware
- On a concrete pad or patio surface
- On sand, gravel, or natural ground using the optional Avcon Base Frame system
The modular design also allows for disassembly and relocation if your outdoor layout changes.
